Carlton Screen Advertising June 2011 Cinema Update

Christmas is Coming!

No not really, but the time to start your Autumn/Winter planning certainly is. But if the thought of falling leaves or the sound of sleigh bells brings you out in a cold sweat, not to worry, CSA have planning for the latter half of 2011 sorted for you.

October 21 sees the launch of the Autumn/Winter Family Pack which runs right up until January 2012. This year the burst contains 7 blockbuster helpings of family fun, ranging from animated animal action, to crime comedy capers to covert adventures at the North Pole. Autumn brings mid-terms and mystery, when comic classic Tin Tin sets off on his greatest adventure yet, on to the silver screen.

Christmas draws closer with the release of winter wonders Happy Feet 2 and Arthur Christmas. Following that, our feline friend with a fetish for footwear kicks off his solo movie career in Puss In Boots. And of course Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without those chips off the old blockbuster, Alvin, Simon and Theodore, back for more fun-sized festivities in Alvin & The Chipmunks: Chip-Wrecked.

Advertisers can avail of 12 weeks exhibition with all the family movies on release for €35,000.  Free production will also be included for bookings confirmed by 31 July 2011.

Don’t miss out on the family fun this Autumn & Winter, contact your Account Manager for further details.

A unique aspect of cinema is the ability to combine on-screen advertising with promotional activity, such as product sampling, private screenings and interactive foyer displays.
Kellogg’s Rice Krispie Squares are currently capitalising on this exclusive aspect of cinema, complementing their on-screen campaign with a targeted product sampling campaign in cinemas across Dublin.

Making the most of the packed cinema foyers, the sampling campaign involves promotional staff handing out complimentary Kellogg’s Rice Krispie Squares to lucky cinema-goers as they exit the cinema screens.

Niamh Hickey from Murray Consulting, who is looking after the sampling activity for the client, was thrilled with the success of the campaign. She noted that, "the activity went extremely well, with over 600 bars sampled in each venue. The customer reaction to the sampling was great, with many people pleasantly surprised to be greeted by the Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Squares personnel as they exited the film."
