Carlton Screen Advertising (CSA) is delighted to announce that Fáilte Ireland Lakelands & Inland Waterways have hit the big screen with their campaign encouraging people to ‘staycation’ this year and holiday at home in Ireland. Getting creative with their campaign, they are reinforcing their on-screen activity with an intensive foyer promotion running throughout the duration of the campaign, giving cinema goers a chance of winning one of 40 free breaks on Irelands Lakelands and Inland Waterways.
The 40 second advert is appearing on screen in all ROI cinemas and in selected NI cinemas for a period of 4 weeks running from July 16th - August 12th, 2010. The foyer promotions include the placement of standees in a number of different cinema foyers nationwide. The on-screen advert directs cinemagoers to the standees in the lobby, where they can pick up a leaflet listing the competition and destination details in full.
Furthermore the campaign includes 2 weekends sampling in the bigger cinema lobbies, where promotional staff will be handing out the leaflets as cinemagoers dwell in the foyers.
Damien Brennan, Business Development Manager at Fáilte Ireland East and Midlands Region, pointed out that “the Fáilte Ireland Lakelands Destination project needs to “stand out” from the other destinations around the country” He feels the campaign “currently running onscreen through CSA ticks all the boxes...fresh visuals, a sparky voiceover and a call to action in the cinema foyer offering the cinema goer an added extra to their night out.
With over 100 click-troughs a day in the initial five days he is “confident that we capture well in excess of 30,000 entries...giving us a database for the future and a real measurement of our collaboration with CSA...win win all round and 40 lucky Lakeland Holiday prize-winners to boot!”

Blockbuster releases, which the Fáilte Ireland Lakelands & Inland Waterways advert will appear alongside include ‘The A-Team’, ‘Toy Story 3’ and the latest offering from acclaimed director Christopher Nolan, ‘Inception’.
Film product set for release in the latter half of 2010 looks likely to keep cinema seats filled, with sure-fire hits such as ‘Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps,’ ‘The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader’, ‘Little Fockers’ and the eagerly anticipated “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1’ all due for release over the coming months.
