Film Monitor

ROI Film Monitor is a quarterly survey conducted by Millward Brown Lansdowne. It is a survey of 1000 respondents aged 7+. Along with asking about frequency and recency of cinema going, it also provides audience profile information of approximately 25 film releases a quarter, allowing essential insight for media planning.

The recency and frequency data is fed into an IMS Planning system and is used to provide coverage and frequency calculations, as well as audience profiles for the many different cinema packages available. Film Monitor is a useful planning tool to tightly target specific demographics.

Film profile information is used to predict how well a future film may do and the audience that could be anticipated. For example the profile of Sex and the City will be used to gauge the sort of audience that will attend Sex and the City 2, i.e female adults 18-34.

In addition, we use Film Monitor to provide film profile information to the Alcohol Marketing Communications Monitoring Board (AMCMB).
