ROI Film Monitor
ROI Film Monitor is a quarterly survey conducted by IMS. It is a survey of 1000 respondents aged 7+ and along with asking about frequency and recency of cinemagoing, it also provides audience profile information of around 25 film releases a quarter, allowing essential insight for media planning.
The recency and frequency data is fed into an IMS Planning system and is used to provide coverage and frequency calculations, as well as audience profiles for different cinema packages available.
Film profile information is used to predict how well a future film may do and the audience that could be anticipated. For example the profile of Finding Neverland was used when trying to gauge the sort of audience that would attend Miss Potter.
